Rummenigge casually chatted up Bayern transfer

From Karl-Heinz Rummenigge’s point of view, FC Bayern is taking the first real steps on the transfer market with the signings of Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro and Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer. The returnee still sees a need in the center of the storm.
Supervisory Board Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has casually confirmed the upcoming move from Borussia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro to Bayern Munich. “We have now got good players with Guerreiro and Laimer,” said the long-time CEO of Munich at DAZN before the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan on Saturday. The media had previously reported an agreement with Guerreiro. The change of midfielder Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig has been official since Friday.
In addition, Rummenigge sees a need for action with the German champions, especially in the storm center. “You lost Lewandowski, that was at least 50 goals across all competitions that you missed. Something will have to be done about that,” said the 67-year-old. He and Honorary President Uli Hoeneß would initially participate in squad planning as members of a small group until a new sports director was found. “As soon as we have a sports director or sports director, Uli and I will also retire. The club has to breathe empathy back, we have quality.” Rummenigge announced that once Salihamidžić’s successor had been found, he and Honorary President Uli Hoeneß would “retire a little”.
