FDJ: cancellation of actions after a court decision

(CercleFinance.com) – La Française des Jeux (FDJ) announces the cancellation of 5.73 million shares (i.e. 3% of the capital) and the correlative reduction of its capital to now 185.27 million actions, following a ruling by the Court of Cassation dated May 10.

This judgment validated a decision taken in 2019 by the Marseille Commercial Court, which found that Soficoma was required to transfer these 5.73 million shares to the FDJ for 15.65 million euros and had lost its status. shareholder since May 2017.

The FDJ recorded the acquisition price of the shares for the benefit of Soficoma with the CDC in May 2017. The 44.17 million euros of dividends attached to these securities paid after this date, retained by the FDJ, will be allocated to an equity account.
