The homeless man suffered fatal stab and cut injuries. The criminalists assume that his body was either placed on the park bench or that the 56-year-old went there himself. Stabbed sleeping homelessA short time later, on July 22, another attempted murder of a homeless woman took place. The sleeping 51-year-old was brutally stabbed on a green area in the Venediger-Au-Park near an exit to the Praterstern subway station. An unknown perpetrator inflicted several stab wounds and cuts on the woman. The woman woke up in severe pain and immediately sounded the alarm. It should stay with the attempted murder, the woman barely survived the knife attack. Again there is no trace of the perpetrator. On Wednesday night at around 2 a.m., a man was found sitting on the side of the road on the Hernalser Gurtel am Alsergrund and seriously injured. The rescue was immediately alerted by the police and the first aid for the man began. Rescue workers from Vienna were quickly on site, took over the emergency medical care and took the injured person to a hospital. Several stab wounds and cuts were found on his body at the hospital. After an emergency operation, the man is currently not in mortal danger. The identity of the third victim is still unknown. The background to the crime and the identity of the injured person, who can also be assigned to the homeless milieu, have not yet been clarified. The police are investigating at full speed.
