Fécamp: a couple strolls quietly on a beach, before a macabre discovery

This is called a macabre discovery. Like every weekend, a couple living in Fécamp, a small town in Seine-Maritime, decided to take their short walk along the beach. But not everything went as usual, quite the contrary. According to information from our colleagues from the media 76actu, which was confirmed by a police source at France Bleu Normandie, the two lovers had to shorten their walk after making a terrible discovery on the sand.

In the middle of their digestive walk, they noticed gulls bustling around something that was not identifiable from afar. Logically curious, the couple approached the gathering point of the birds… and amazement: they found themselves face to face with human bones. Frightened, they immediately called the police, who came to the scene as quickly as possible.

A human foot and a piece of spine were found

The security forces directly established a security perimeter around these human remains. After a few minutes, police were able to identify a human foot and a piece of spine. The remains of the bones found were sent to the funeral home and analyzes will be carried out. According to the first elements of the investigation, the identification of these bones promises to be difficult because of their condition. But research will be carried out from the file of missing persons in the region in recent months.
