Felix von Jascheroff releases the single “Tonight” together with his friend Micar as DJ duo Micar & Jash.

Felix von Jascheroff (40) is not only a successful actor, but also a musician, as he just proved as “Black Mamba” on the TV show “The Masked Singer”. But fans can look forward to even more music from the “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten” star. “I’ve rediscovered the microphone for myself and will be releasing the single ‘Tonight’ together with my partner and friend Micar as DJ duo Micar & Jash on November 11,” he reveals as part of his role as brand ambassador for Kia Germany.

You know most of them from the series “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”, but there is also something new to hear from you musically. Can you already tell us something about it?

Felix von Jascheroff: After more than 20 years in the series, it is inevitable that many people know me from “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”. But I’ve also been on the road musically for many years. Mainly as a producer or DJ standing behind the controls. But now I’ve rediscovered the microphone for myself and will be releasing the single “Tonight” together with my music partner and friend Micar as DJ duo Micar & Jash on November 11th. After a very long time without singing, my voice is right at the front.

You launched your DJ project Micar & Jash three years ago. How did you meet Micar and what characterizes your friendship?

Jascheroff: Micar and I have known each other for a number of years. We always wanted to make music together and then three years ago we just put it into practice. We put our tastes together and made what we are today: Micar & Jash – lots of fun, harmony and good music. It doesn’t matter that I live in Berlin and he lives in Munich. Nowadays you can produce almost anywhere.

Will you also go on tour together?

Jascheroff: Logo – for us DJs it’s simply the greatest thing to play in clubs or at festivals and to see people dancing to our music. With the Kia EV6, we have a cool tour car with plenty of space for clothes and equipment, so we always have everything with us on the go. We can even connect our DJ console directly to the car with the vehicle-to-device function and “power it up” – so to speak for spontaneous mini festivals around the car (laughs).

Do the fans have to worry that you are leaving “GZSZ” and are now dedicating yourself to your music career?

Jascheroff: No! I’ve always managed to balance acting and music. Of course there are always questions as to whether I want to devote more time to my music. It will happen from time to time, just don’t worry.

Between February 2014 and early 2015 you took a break. Have you ever thought about leaving the series?

Jascheroff: What does it mean to think about leaving? When you’ve been in a production for a long time, such thoughts always come up. That’s totally human. You also want to develop yourself, do different things from time to time, reinvent yourself over and over again. There are currently no plans to exit.

If it were to happen, would you wish for a spectacular serial death?

Jascheroff: If I should really turn my back on the series at some point, which isn’t the case, then with a lot of action, a big bang and fireworks.

You’ve been part of the RTL long-running hit since 2001. Did you ever think you would stay with the show for so long?

Jascheroff: I never had the plan to embody the role of John Bachmann for more than 20 years. It’s been 21 years now and time flies by. I’m thankful for every day I get to spend on set. That is not a matter of course.

You’ve seen some colleagues come and go. Some “GZSZ” farewells were particularly moving – which colleagues did you find it particularly difficult to say goodbye to?

Jascheroff: When you’ve been dealing with great people for so many years, farewells are foreseeable. One faster than the other. But if I’m honest, saying goodbye to my dear colleague and wardrobe mate Daniel Fehlow wasn’t without it. We were and are a very well-established team.
