quarter of fiscal 2023.

quarter 2023 amounted to €1 million, stable compared to the 3

^th

quarter of the previous year and growing by 19% compared to the 2

^th

quarter 2023.

Pierre Josselin, Managing Director of Fermentalg, declared on this occasion:

“The intensification of our commercial prospecting has made it possible to stem the decline in turnover in recent months. To sustainably return to the path to growth, we are fundamentally reviewing our commercial organization and approach in order to sustain significant volumes with major players in the Omega 3 industry.”

The cumulative turnover at the end of September (€3.3 million) shows a decline of 47% compared to the previous financial year, which was marked in the first half of 2022 by an exceptional level of opportunity orders, before the Ukrainian crisis and its economic consequences are putting a stop to growth.

Sales made since the beginning of the year are distributed at the end of September between the Europe zone (44%), North America (43%), South America (12%) and Asia (1% ).

A reinforced commercial approach

In the favorable context of a sharp increase in the cost of fish Omega 3, linked to the scarcity of supply caused by climate change and El Niño, Fermentalg is working to expand its customer base and diversify its offers products, capitalizing on its competitive advantages: concentration of its oil, regulatory authorizations in infant food and at doses of 1g / day, positive impacts of its offer on health and biodiversity.

Preparation for the marketing of Colorant and Bioactive Antioxidant products, from the Blue ORIGINS® program, also continues to gain momentum. Thus, the natural blue food coloring is pre-marketed by the Givaudan group under the name Everzure™ Galdieria within its range of natural blues and the first regulatory authorizations for marketing are still expected by the end of the year . Fermentalg will also take advantage of its presence at the Supply Side West trade show which is being held at the end of October in Las Vegas to present its bioactive antioxidant intended for the American market.

Finally, as previously announced, Fermentalg is actively preparing its longer-term orientations and perspectives as part of the future strategic plan.
