Ferrari: record results, annual guidance raised

(Boursier.com) — Ferrari raise its forecasts! On the strength of a record second quarter, the luxury car manufacturer now anticipates an adjusted 2022 Ebitda of between 1.70 and 1.73 million euros for revenues of around 4.9 billion euros against respectively 1.65 to 1 €.70 million and €4.8 billion previously.

Over the three months to the end of June, the transalpine firm recorded operating profit of 323 million euros, up 17.8%, for sales of 1.3 billion euros (+ 24.9%). higher than analysts’ expectations (1.2 billion euros). The Editda amounted to 446 million euros, an improvement of 15.5% and industrial free cash flow came out at 79 ME, the highest level ever reached for a second quarter. Shipments increased by 29% to 3,455 units compared to the same period last year, driven by the Ferrari Portofino M and the F8 family. The biggest increases came in Asia, where shipments to mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan more than doubled.

Like all its competitors, Ferrari is in a race for electrification. Three hybrid-powered models accounted for around 17% of total shipments in the second quarter, and the company will invest around 4.4 billion euros to develop fully electric and plug-in hybrid models that are expected to make up 60% of its portfolio by 2026.
