The “Coachella Valley Music and Arts” festival opens its doors on Friday, April 12, 2024, ushering in the 2024 open-air season and giving our wardrobe a cool update. But don’t worry, you can even wear some festival looks after the concert weekends.
Whether Coachella, Hurricane or Southside Festival, Deichbrand or Lollapalooza: the festivals are now more than just musical highlights in the summer. They set fashion trends. Whether details decorated with rhinestones and glitter, cool cowboy/girl looks, fringes or romantic dresses: here are five fashion highlights that we are particularly looking forward to after the festival season.
Festival looks we can’t get enough of in 2024
Rhinestone and glitter details
This festival season also applies: It has to sparkle and glitter! Rhinestone-studded clothing is a real eye-catcher. Large rhinestones and pearls reflect light and keep you glowing all night long. The motto is clear: more is more! For everyday life it can be a little less; Nevertheless, the sweet sparkling stones enhance every (office) outfit. If you want to go one step further, you can also opt for cool mesh looks with rhinestones. For example, fishnet tights or cool woven dresses are suitable for this, as they also look good on the beach with a bikini.
Cowgirl look in a class of its own
Howdie! It’s not just Beyoncé who is currently in the grip of country fever, cowboy boots, hats and denim looks are also conquering our wardrobes in fashion. The sturdy boots in particular are the perfect alternative to Chelsea boots at festivals and go just as well with a dress as with jeans: cowboy boots should not be missing from any shoe closet this year.
Romantic lace
Last year, Jenna Ortega not only captured our hearts in her role as Wednesday, but also set new standards in fashion. A revival of neo-Gothic style dominated TikTok for months, and designers also presented large cross pendants, vintage lace and dark makeup on the catwalks. While the dark tones disappear, the romantic boho looks remain for the festival season. Dresses or corsages with antique lace trim are not only reminiscent of grandma’s tablecloth, they give our look a dreamy vibe that goes particularly well with festivals like Lollapalooza.

Anything with fringes is all the rage for the 2024 festival season. This playful trend has already been seen on various designer catwalks and is a long-running favorite at open-air events. It invites you to dance and celebrate our favorite band at the festival. The fringes also give the office or dinner outfit a casual touch.
Cut-out dresses
Strictly speaking, the cut-out dress has been trendy for a long time. But so far it has received little attention for the festival season. It’s a shame, with cool sneakers or a chunky Chelsea boot it turns into a cool, modern festival look. The good thing about the trend: We probably don’t have to buy new styles, we can combine old looks in new ways.
