It is certainly less melting, but also delicious in a salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh herbs or peppers. It is one of the lowest calorie cheeses to put in your salad.

Feta, fattier and saltier

Emblematic of Greece, Feta is made from a quail sheep’s and/or goat’s milk renneted, cut into blocks and rubbed with salt. It turns out to be oilier than mozzarella and

Mozzarella, low in fat

This cheese is produced from buffalo milk (and labeled PDO) or cow’s milk. The latter is a little less rich in fat (17 g against 22 g for buffalo milk mozzarella), and therefore significantly less caloric.
On average, count 230 calories For 100 g cow’s milk mozzarella and 260 kcal for the buffalo milk one. Both provide good amounts of protein and are fairly low in salt. But be careful, it is better not to abuse it. As it is fresh and tasty, we sometimes tend to consume more than reason, and the caloric bill can quickly increase, especially if we sprinkle it with olive oil!
There is no question of doing without it, nor of giving up feta and burrata. You can safely continue to enjoy it. It’s all about measurement !
