From 2016 to 2021, around 2,600 children were born in the first six months. Now it was only 2028. Although a little more women aged 15 to 49 lived in the city of Zurich, significantly fewer children were born residing in the city of Zurich than in previous years.
The statisticians do not provide an explanation for the decline in the birth rate in the first half of 2022.
