A new feature of FF7 Rebirth has just been revealed in a short video, and it is quite astonishing. In addition, we are entitled to a new overview of the world map, and it is dizzying.
FF7 Rebirth promises change, for better and for worse. We are not only talking about the original, but also about the first chapter of the remake. The latter, released in 2020, offered a rather linear progression. This time, we will be dealing with an open world that promises to be dizzying. As a result, we will necessarily have access to new features that were not present in its predecessor. One of them was also presented in a short video, and it makes your mouth water.
FF7 Rebirth presents one of its new features
Nowadays, we see more and more open world emerging in the video game sphere. But we don’t necessarily want to always get around on foot or using a vehicle. As a result, we have the choice to use a very specific functionality: fast travel. It’s a great invention that allows you to move “instantly” to a designated point on the map. If we put the quotes, it’s simply because there is often a little loading time before getting there. Nothing unusual, but that won’t be the case for FF7 Rebirth.
If we say this, it’s because Square Enix recently revealed a video of FF7 Rebirth on X (formerly Twitter). The latter focuses on quick travel, which lives up to its name. In total, it takes about 5 seconds, which is pretty impressive. To give an order of comparison, we expect – approximately – the same duration in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In any case, it’s fast, but for a next-gen exclusive, we’re not really surprised.
It’s not much, but it will continue to excite fans who can’t wait to get their hands on the game. As a reminder, FF7 Rebirth is coming on January 29, so you have to show up just a little bit more patient. In terms of content, you obviously have to prepare yourself to face a hundred hours to get through it. For the main quest, it will take around 40 hours to complete. At least, according to the minds behind the title.
A new trailer that ignited fans
You may have missed it, but FF7 Rebirth was treated to a new trailer. Called “Destined for Rebirth”, it gave us a minute of pure happiness. It is above all a summary of what we are going to have in the game. The gameplay was quickly put in the spotlight, but above all the dramatic aspect of the situation encountered by the protagonists. The sequences we see in this trailer are enough to make you salivate, especially when you see the nervousness of the fights. Obviously, this has brought back the concerns of certain people, who would like the story to remain intact. But that’s not going to happen, which is sure to surprise longtime fans.
