FF7 Remake 2 Rebirth finally shows up with a PS5 release date

Final Fantasy players were spoiled for Summer Game Fest 2022. After Final Fantasy 16 returned to the State of Play with a bang, Square Enix has just made people happy again. As expected, the Japanese publisher has decided to mark the 25th anniversary of the game by finally showing FF7 Remake 2.

FF7 Remake 2 Rebirth officialized

The conference around Final Fantasy 7 ended in apotheosis. After unveiling announcements around mobile spin-offs and announcing the return of Crisis Core Reunion, Square Enix wanted to offer fans an appetizer. FF7 Remake 2 was unveiled with a short teaser of the most beautiful effect. We see Cloud and Sephiroth walking side by side, while enigmatic messages ask us “what if the facts were fiction? “. We also finally have a name: FF7 Remake Rebirth. The game will be the second part of a trilogy, the third installment of which will be announced in due course. The teams have however confirmed that they are already working on Final Fantasy 7 Remake 3.

And to mark the event, Square Enix also unveiled a release window. As promised, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Rebirth will be released well after Final Fantasy 16, itself postponed to summer 2023. The game will therefore be available in winter 2023 exclusively on PS5.
