Fiat takes a radical decision, announcing the removal of all its non-electrified models from its English catalog this summer.

Not to mention the ban on the sale of thermal cars scheduled for 2035. Fiat, which plans to become a fully connected brand by 2030, has just taken a decision that goes in the right direction in England.
A drastic decision
For the time being, the firm does not seem very far ahead, although it only offers one 100% electric model, the New Fiat 500. This does not prevent it from working on the electrification of its range, when she has just announced that she has taken a radical decision to say the least. Indeed, Fiat will delete all unconnected models from its British catalog from 1 July.
A shock measure in appearance, which should in reality not have too much impact on customers, when more than 60% of the range is already electrified, according to the official press release. Indeed, in addition to the Panda and the 500, the Italian brand also markets the Fiat 500 X and the Tipo in hybrid versions. According to Fiat, each model from the manufacturer currently has at least one electrified version. The manufacturer takes the opportunity to remind you that the Fiat 500 is selling very well, so much so that it is the first best-selling electric car in 11 European countries and the second best-selling car in Europe, all segments combined. only behind Tesla can we read in the press release.
A growing range
In addition, the manufacturer has been marketing its very first 100% electric model since 2020, which is none other than the Fiat 500e, which was the best-selling in the segment in April. A real success for the city car, which will soon no longer be alone in the range. Indeed, other models should however arrive shortly, including the production version of the Centoventi conceptwhich should then replace the Panda.
Other vehicles could see the light of day a little later, while Fiat now benefits from the technologies provided by the former PSA group as part of the creation of Stellantis. Could a technical cousin of the Peugeot e-208 and Opel Corsa-e be considered? It’s entirely plausible…
