FIFA 22: EA severely punishes Division Rivals cheaters on FUT!

EA Sports is cracking down on FIFA 22 cheaters, as it should be. The publisher would have identified all accounts that used the “Division Rivals unlimited rewards cheat” and therefore took action against them – which is basically a mistake on their part.

Thanks to this cheat, some players were able to accumulate millions of Ultimate Team credits in order to obtain the best players in a way that is not frankly ethical and even rather illicit. EA announced that players who used this bug will receive a one-week ban. The transfer market has also been closed to them.

Statement from EA Sports

“We have identified active accounts that have been systematically exploiting Rivals Division rewards earlier this week and have suspended them from FIFA 22 Online for 7 days. Additionally, we have identified active accounts that have been severely exploited by Division Rivals Rewards earlier this week. These accounts have received the aforementioned suspension and will no longer be able to access the transfer market in FIFA 22.”.

A decision applauded by much of the community, although some still complain that not everyone who profited from this cheating was punished firmly enough. More bans are likely to follow in the coming hours.
