EA has released an 11-minute video that goes into depth on all the new gameplay features that can be found in FIFA 23. These include improved HyperMotion technology, in particular to increase the realism of women’s football as well as dribbles via new animations. The game will also introduce Power Shots for the first time.
After having formalized the release of its game for September 30, it is time for EA to begin communication around FIFA 23. This of course involves announcing the new features that will integrate this new opus, which the publisher has decided to present via an 11 minute video. Lovers of pretty images will be delighted: the emphasis has very clearly been placed on the animations.
Indeed, EA Vancouver has greatly improved its tHypermotion technology, which landed on FIFA 22. As a reminder, the latter made it possible to capture the movements of 22 professional players to transcribe them in the form of ultra realistic animations. For this new title, the process has therefore been boosted to obtain a total of 9 million images, making it possible to create 6000 new animations.

An improvement that benefits women’s football in particular, thanks to new player-specific animations. But not only : “We used the new animations to improve the responsiveness and visual quality of dribbling”, also points out EA. Likewise, the AI has been revised to be less predictable than before, making players more flexible and volatile. The goalkeepers, for their part, will be more reactive.

Last big novelty, the power shots will land for the first time in FIFA 23. This mechanic will require more precision from players, but promises a nice reward if executed properly.
