FIFA 23: FUT presents its new features (new currency, new collective, etc.)

Each year, players of FIFA and its Ultimate Team mode are entitled to some changes, more or less important, aimed at improving the experience. For FIFA 23the community should be thrilled, given that we will have the right to a multitude of modifications, in particular on the collective, while welcoming a new currencywhich is not premium.

What’s new in FUT on FIFA 23

New collective

Green, orange and red links are now history. For FIFA 23, the collective of the teams will be judged with stars. Each player will be able to obtain three stars, thus raising the maximum collective of a team to 33 stars. However, EA Sports has made a significant choice, that of no longer forcing two players from the same championship/club to be side by side to increase the collective. Indeed, two players from the same club will have the same contribution, whether they play alongside or in opposite positions, the aim being to allow more possibilities. Everything will still be judged on nationality, championship and club. As we can see in the presentation, this gives us a few more options in the creation, but the goal is always to have 33 stars. Icon cards, on the other hand, will always have the three stars.

The developers explain that this choice was made in particular to bring more realism, and no longer see BUs going MC when creating the team, just to get green links. Players will still be able to apply a position change, but only related to the player’s career.

New currency

FIFA 23 players will have a new currency, which can be retrieved via “Moments”. These are small challenges to do during a match, mostly to collect Stars. These Stars then allow you to buy packs, and therefore potentially obtain major players for your team. These challenges will arrive with FIFA 23 seasonal content.

For the rest, the video, which you can find below, mentions the arrival of cross-play (you can also find how cross-play works on FIFA 23 here), but also the customization of the stadium and the club, still as advanced, for those who wish to modify each element.
