For some unknown reason, some Xbox players managed to download the full version of FIFA 23, a month before the official launch of the title scheduled for September 30, 2022. Because of this leak, many details about the title are now known, like player stats in Ultimate Team for example.
Decidedly, EA is chaining the pans with the next FIFA 23. In August 2022, the publisher had accidentally sold games for only 6 cents on the Indian store of the Epic Games Store. Being an error on his part, EA finally decided to honor orders placed at this price, a boon for the players concerned.
And as if that weren’t enough, the game has just been the subject of a catastrophic leak. For good reason, some players have managed to download the full version of the title on Xboxone month before the official launch of the game scheduled for September 30, 2022 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
Recall that players who pre-ordered the Ultimate edition of the game could claim three-day early access to the game. This allowed them to discover the title from September 27. However, as reported by our colleagues from the Eurogamer site, a software error allowed Ultimate Edition purchasers to download the full version of the game.
FIFA 23 leaked on Xbox, a blow for EA
Unsurprisingly, these lucky players posted a lot of information about the title on social media, revealing game interface, player ratings in FIFA Ultimate Team mode, or even new equipment and personnel.
Some have even taken the risk of live-streaming the full game on Twitch. Of course, EA quickly took action by ordering the platform to delete and close the affected channels. In addition, EA has also decided to ban anyone caught playing FIFA 23 before the hour.
