For FIFA 23, EA will soon provide you with the World Cup update for the 2022 World Cup. A trailer introduces the modes and there are bonuses for FUT.

The 2022 World Cup kicks off in Qatar on November 20th and FIFA 23 will feature an event update. EA confirms to release this patch on November 9th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
The patch provides you with various options for virtually pre- or replaying the World Cup. There are offline and online tournaments, as well as the option to play a custom tournament with teams that didn’t qualify. The new Deep Dive trailer gives you a glimpse of the upcoming update.
In Ultimate Team, fans can also expect changes. There are special and time-limited World Cup versions of players. EA is also adding “Icons” and “Heroes” that have caused a stir at World Cups in the past. In order to create the right atmosphere, there are also other objects for designing your stadium.
On November 11th, EA will also introduce so-called “FIFA World Cup Swaps”. So you unlock swap tokens by completing tasks, which you later exchange for card packs (“packs”) and special player cards.
World Cup flair in Ultimate Team
The World Cup will accompany the second season of FIFA 23 FUT as an event and will therefore be visually present everywhere in Ultimate Team.
