FIFA and Electronic Arts, it’s really over: all games in the series removed from download platforms!

We didn’t see this one coming. If we knew that the collaboration between Electronic Arts and the FIFA ended with a bang, giving way to the new series EA Sports FC based on the same mechanics, we did not necessarily understand that this split would also affect the old episodes.

In this launch week ofEA Sports FC 24and a priori since the beginning of its Early Access September 21, it seems in fact that all the old games FIFAincluding last year’s FIFA 23, have been removed from download platforms. A few DLC have escaped the ax at this time, but none of the recent episodes offered in digital format can now be found on the PlayStation StoreTHE Microsoft StoreL’eShop, SteamL’Epic Games Store or even theEA App. It seems that FIFA 22 And FIFA 23 are still accessible via EA Playbut it’s certainly only a matter of time before they disappear too.

The information is all the more embarrassing becauseElectronic Arts did not warn players of this departure from download platforms: if you were considering buying an episode in digital format to keep it forever, it is already too late. Well, given the millions of copies in circulation, you probably won’t have any problems finding a specific episode for resale in physical format, but their price should increase over the months. And for the moment, the still active servers of FIFA 22 And FIFA 23 remain open, but we can also imagine that they close quickly enough to make way for the new franchise ofElectronic Arts.

To move directly to the new generation, you can obtain EA Sports FC 24 from €45.99 on Amazon.com.
