  • The world football association Fifa and other regional associations are to receive 92 million US dollars in compensation.

In total, the US justice system recognized losses of $201 million from the cases last August. At that time, 32.2 million US dollars had already flowed into a social fund administered by Fifa.

The US authorities launched a wave of investigations in 2015 with the indictment of 14 Fifa officials, as a result of which the then Fifa President Sepp Blatter resigned from his post.

Former Conmebol President Juan Ángel Napout from Paraguay and the head of the Brazilian Football Association, José Maria Marin, have been convicted since then.
