FIFA Ultimate Team: hackers trick EA into stealing certain players’ accounts


Famous FIFA Ultimate Team title players have been targeted by a group of hackers. The latter managed to seize their accounts to empty them of their FIFA points and all the game currency they had.

Several influencers who spend a lot of money in FIFA Ultimate Team have had their accounts hacked. Among the targets that have seen their account stolen, we find in particular FUT Donkey, the best Ultimate Team trader on PlayStation, or other players such as @ bateson87 or @NickRTFM.

Players who were able to recover their accounts report that they were emptied of all their FIFA points and all in-game currency. According to the players, the pirates did not have much difficulty in seizing the accounts, since it is Electronic Arts itself which allowed them to have access to it.

Electronic Arts helped hackers steal famous gamer accounts

According to information shared by player @FUTDonkey on Twitter, hackers have a fairly straightforward method of stealing accounts. First of all, these would look for gamertags in FIFA leaderboards and use it to fill out a support ticket with EA to gain access to the account.
