Figeac Aéro is resizing its industrial presence in Mexico

Figeac Aro has signed an agreement with Latcore for the sale of the industrial and land assets of its Hermosillo subsidiary in Mexico. This production site was initially designed for Latcore under a contract concluded in 2015 for the supply of elementary parts in light alloys and hard metals, as well as small sub-assemblies for the Boeing 787 doors.

This contract still currently represents more than half of this site’s turnover, despite the ongoing diversifications. Thus, this operation is fully in line with the group’s industrial tool rationalization strategy in order to make it more agile and more competitive.

The group has also concluded an agreement with the American company Kaman Aerospace Group Inc. for the acquisition of their industrial assets located in the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.

This equipment specializes in the manufacture of complex sheet metal parts for civil and military aviation, the machining of parts from profiles and the assembly of aeronautical sub-assemblies.

This new production site will gradually replace that of Hermosillo and will allow Figeac Aro an agile and controlled redeployment of its industrial activities in Mexico, in line with its growth ambitions in North America.

This acquisition not only enables the group to secure the production of the contracts retained as part of the sale of the assets of the Hermosillo plant, but also to double its manufacturing capacity in complex sheet metal work in North America.
