The Czech Republic has once again delivered weapons to Ukraine

Ukraine can apparently continue to rely on help from the Czech Republic in their defensive struggle. According to its own statements, Prague has once again delivered numerous tanks to Kiev. There would also be artillery ammunition and other materials.

The Czech Republic, a NATO partner, is continuing to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine, which has been attacked by Russia. From January to May this year, 24 tanks, 76 armored personnel carriers and 16 anti-aircraft vehicles were handed over to Kiev, Prime Minister Petr Fiala said in Prague.

In addition, there are 57,000 rounds of artillery ammunition and other materials such as spare parts and protective equipment against nuclear, biological and chemical hazards. Ukraine is fighting for the security of all of Europe, emphasized the liberal-conservative head of government. The Czech Republic wants to comprehensively modernize its own army in the next few years.

Among other things, the country with around 10.5 million inhabitants is acquiring 246 CV90 armored personnel carriers from the British armaments group BAE Systems. The Czech Republic has made a legal commitment to spend at least two percent of gross domestic product on military spending from next year.
