Figures for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia: results, forecasts and surveys

BIn the elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, around 13 million voters were called upon to elect a new state parliament. According to the projections, the CDU with the top candidate and incumbent Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst is the clear winner of the election.

The Greens can almost triple their result and end up in third place. The SPD is in second place. The FDP clearly falls out of favor with voters. The left will not be represented in the state parliament in Düsseldorf.

A black-yellow coalition has governed North Rhine-Westphalia for the past five years; a red-green coalition was in power until 2017. For a continuation of the government alliance of FDP and CDU, it should no longer be enough. What comes next: grand coalition of CDU and SPD? Black green? traffic light alliance?
