It has been a good seven years since the then 47-year-old sales representative Reinhard O. was murdered in freezing cold on October 31, 2015 in front of his apartment in Klagenfurt. However, the police do not want to give up the search for the perpetrator, who killed his victim with three shots from an assault rifle in the back. “A lot of time has passed, perhaps circumstances have changed – and witnesses now dare to help the police!” Hopes chief investigator Gottfried Türk from the State Criminal Police Office. It is precisely these witnesses that you want to find with the help of the true crime format “Fahlung Austria” on ServusTV. “This case is multi-layered,” says Andreas Mannsberger, producer of Mabon Film, who recorded the crime scene for “Fahlung Österreich” at the original crime scene in Klagenfurt by actors and caught on camera.Many leads led nowhereReinhard O. moved in shady circles: in the drug, gambling and red-light milieu. He is said to have fallen in love with a Romanian prostitute. “We were never able to identify a clear motive. Hundreds of clues and tips were followed up,” Türk recalls. But there is still no trace of the perpetrator. After five of the ten episodes of “Fahlung Österreich” so far, tips were given that even led to the arrest of the perpetrators, the police are also hoping for the broadcast of this case on April 26th 8.15 p.m. on ServusTV. On average, 458,000 viewers watch this show. “The biggest challenge is dealing with the case with respect. There is a daughter who also gave us an interview. Her father’s murder still affects her deeply,” says Mannsberger. Chief investigator Türk: “We want to remind everyone of the case again!”
