Filmed singing in a Kiev bunker, 7-year-old Amelia arrived in Poland

A little girl, filmed singing the music of “The Snow Queen” in a Kiev bunker, has arrived safely in Poland.

These images put balm in the heart. As chaos reigns for several days in Ukraine, a little girl has been filmed singing the song “Frozen” to entertain a crowded Kiev bunker. On the video, broadcast around the world, Amelia Anisovych performs “Liberated, delivered” in front of the crowd. “Everyone put aside what they were doing and listened to the song of this radiant little girl. Even the men couldn’t hold back their tears,” said Marta Smekhova, the source of this video.

An avalanche of messages of support have been sent to the 7-year-old child, in particular from the interpreter of the planetary title, Idina Menzel, and its composer, Kristen Anderson-Lopez. “Dear little girl with a beautiful voice, my husband and I wrote this song to tell the story of a family’s healing in pain. The way you sing it is like a magic trick that spreads light in your heart and heals all who hear it. Keep singing! We are listening to you!”, she wrote on Twitter, relaying the extract viewed more than 16 million times. “We see you, we really see you,” wrote the singer.

On Thursday afternoon, Kristen Anderson-Lopez shared news about Amelia. The little one “has arrived in Poland”, she said, emphasizing this “brave soul”. According to information from the British tabloid, the young Ukrainian traveled for two days with her 15-year-old brother and her grandmother. His parents remained in Kiev. Like Amelia, more than 2.3 million Ukrainians have crossed the border with Poland to flee multiple Russian bombardments.

As soon as the animated film was released in 2013, the title became a worldwide success. Translated into more than 40 languages, “Freed, Delivered” even won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2014.
