Final Fantasy VII: Information will be shared next month, news of the remake?

In 2022, Final Fantasy VII celebrates its 25th anniversary, and we are bound to expect that we will finally have news regarding the sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remakeeven though Final Fantasy XVI should already be busy Square-Enix. But for the moment, radio silence on the editor’s side on this sequel, which could change as early as next month, at least if we interpret the last statement of Tetsuya Nomura.

Any news from the remake, or just from the mobile game?

The director was present today in a Japanese stream dedicated to following Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldierand if it was above all a question of mobile games, he also stated that information about Final Fantasy VII will arrive next month. He didn’t say which projects in particular, but he points out that it will be within the framework of the 25th anniversary of this episode.

So inevitably, it was enough to panic the fans, who already think they have news of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 from this month of June. After all, it would be timely, since it is conference month and we can see the game being presented at a Sony or Square Enix event.

But let’s not jump to conclusions, because there is no indication that this news will concern the remake. It would be safer to bet on information around mobile gambling Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, which is still due out before the end of the year. Nomura also said a few months ago that other projects around this episode were in preparation.

But that won’t stop some fans from hoping for a little teaser on the continuation of Cloud’s adventures, will it?
