Final Fantasy XV: Eidos Montreal has worked on a version of the game

Eidos Montreal has made a fine reputation with the latest Deus Exand at that time, he was working on a role-playing game published by Square-Enix which could have been quite a curiosity. Yes, the Canadian studio for a time developed a version of Final Fantasy XVbut the publisher decided to take over the reins.

This is what Jonathan Jacques-Belletête revealed to True Achievements recently. Now at RogueFactor (hell is us), the former artistic director ofEidos Montreal thus declares that his team worked on Final Fantasy XV for a while :

Eidos Montreal brought back Deus Ex. I was creative director on this game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Then I was executive art director on Mankind Divided. Then we tried to do Final Fantasy XV. Then they decided to repatriate him to Japan, I think it was a huge mistake, but it’s the truth. Our game was really, really cool.

The information had been circulating unofficially on the Web for a few years, Eidos Montreal apparently had artworks and ideas of game design on its premises, and this Final Fantasy XV would have been a role-playing game space opera. But Square-Enix decided to start development again in 2012, handing the game over to its Business Division 2 to make it RPG Japanese that everyone knows, with 10 million copies sold. On his side, Eidos Montreal has developped Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxyenough to reconnect with the stars, and was especially recently bought by Embrace Group. You can find Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition to €19.99 on Amazon.
