The Goldorak series will soon make its big return to our screens, and we now have a first trailer to watch. And clearly, the community is divided.
Last August, some rather astonishing news reached us. Grendizer is back in a brand new animated series. And that doesn’t make us any younger, since it was broadcast for the first time in Japan in 1975. However, until now, we didn’t yet have a trailer to enjoy. But that has only just changed, and unfortunately, it is already divisive.
A first trailer for the new Grendizer series
This year, the AkibaDaisuki festival in Tokyo gave us a great gift. Who would have thought Grendizer would come back from the dead after all this time? So yes, there is indeed a new video game that has been released, but here we are talking about the animated series. This is titled Grendizer U, and we can say that she was quite discreet following her announcement. Fortunately, we finally have a trailer to sink our teeth into. On the other hand, it divides the community, particularly in terms of character design. Some people already seem to miss the aesthetic of the time.
For now, we can expect quality when we see who is in charge. As a reminder, behind this project, there is Mr. Go Nagai, creator of the work, but also the director Mr. Mitsuo Fukuda, better known for his work on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. But that’s not all, since we also have Mr. Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, character designer who worked on Neon Genesis Evangelion And Summer Wars. As for the music, it is composed by Mr. Kohei Tanaka, who notably worked on One Piece.
Yes, it’s rather impressive, and it promises a great Grendizer anime. In any case, Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, did not hide his enthusiasm during the announcement.
The return of the beloved Grendizer series is exciting news for anime series fans everywhere. We are proud to distribute this series, which has a rich history and an incredible fan base. In close collaboration with Dynamic Planning, we want to introduce Goldorak U to both long-time fans but also to the new generation of viewers.
The casting is revealed
This trailer will undoubtedly speak to early fans who will not let any detail escape them. What we can particularly see is the members of the cast. Ayane Sakura (The attack of the Titans) will therefore play Naida Baron, Yuuma Uchida (Blue Lock) will play Cassado Zeola Whiter, and it doesn’t stop there. For his part, Takehito Koyasu (Jujutsu Kaisen) will take the mantle of Gandal and Akeno Watanabe (My Hero Academia) that of Lady Gandal. Finally, we have Wataru Takagi (Beelzebub, Naruto Shippuden) as Blacky and Tomokazu Seki (One Piece) in that of Zurill. And this is only part of their well-filled CV. We are clearly facing a five-star cast.
