A “legacy-free brand”, the Polestar brand recently received this strange title from its CEO Thomas Ingenlath at the so-called Polestar Day in Los Angeles. There, the Swedish electric brand, which belongs to the Geely Group, made a big splash when it came to presenting new models. After all, a “legacy-free brand,” as the German translation goes, has a much easier time giving the public a concrete outlook for the coming years than manufacturers who would thereby jeopardize demand for existing models.
