As promised, the new fighting game Hunter X Hunter has been revealed through a first teaser that will make you salivate. However, fears persist among French fans.
Hunter X Hunter is a work whose reputation no longer needs to be proven. And that is both in terms of the manga and the anime. Since its first appearance in 1998, it has enjoyed enormous success, and you know what that means. As with One Piece, Bleach or Naruto, this means that it goes through the video game box. A new one was presented in December, and it recently got a teaser. Unfortunately, he did not answer certain questions that worried French players.
Hunter X Hunter arrives in a new fighting game
Following its announcement last December during Jump Festa, we couldn’t wait to find out more about this mysterious combat-oriented title. Its publisher, Bushiroad, was careful not to say more, so as to keep the surprise effect for January 6, 2024, the appointment he had set. So, as promised, he released a teaser on the Web during the Bushiroad New Year Grand Presentation 2024 which is being held in Tokyo. Incidentally, this allowed us to discover the full name of the game: Hunter X Hunter Nen. But what else have we learned? Well, not much.
We were still able to discover the first six playable characters of this Hunter X Hunter Nen X. There will therefore be Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Hisoka, Netero and Leorio. From what we have been able to understand, the fights will be done in teams, and it will be 3 against 3. However, we were not able to see any gameplay, and that is a shame. Especially when we know that the developer is Eighting. As a reminder, the studio co-developed Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with Capcom. That’s quite a CV.
In any case, there is obviously no release date to note, or platforms to communicate. What is worrying is that it is possible that Hunter X Hunter Nen X will not arrive here. For good reason, the publisher is rather used to deploying mobile games exclusive to Japan. Given the scale of the franchise involved here, we suspect that this is unlikely to happen. However, when in doubt, we would like to be reassured. To be continued.
What are we going to deal with?
Even if we haven’t seen any gameplay, we can put forward some hypotheses thanks to the studio in charge of development, Eighting. If 3v3 is confirmed for this Hunter Capcom 3. Why is this comparison important? Quite simply because it is considered by some people to be one of the best team fighting games… of all time. Just that. Obviously, it makes your mouth water, and we hope that we will have more material in the next trailer.
