In the list of essential features that took a long time to arrive compared to the competition, we now call: pinned messages. It was last March that the application finally began testing this functionality. After long months of silence, the feature returned to the beast in October, indicating an imminent deployment.
It didn’t fail. In its Communities tab, WhatsApp has just announced that all users can now pin the message of their choice within a conversation. It is also interesting to note that the application already allows you to pin up to three conversations for some time. Regardless, the feature will save its users valuable time.

However, WhatsApp would not be WhatsApp if the application did not add some limitations compared to the competition. While Discord places no limit on the number of pinned messages, WhatsApp currently only allows you to select one. If the user tries to pin a second one, it will replace the first.
However, it could be that this limit will be quickly lifted, according to recent discoveries from the WABetaInfo site, which indicates that the latest WhatsApp beta allows you to navigate through several pinned messages. But there remains the time limitation. In fact, by pinning a message, the user will have to choose between three available durations: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
