There will be no Premier League clubs in the three European finals. Aston Villa, the last remaining team from the island, is eliminated in the semi-finals of the Conference League against Piraeus. In the Europa League, Atalanta Bergamo managed to reach the final against Bayer Leverkusen.

Atalanta Bergamo has reached the final of the Europa League and will face German champions Bayer Leverkusen. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s team beat Olympique Marseille 3-0 (1-0) in the semi-final second leg in front of their home crowd; in the first leg the two teams had drawn 1-1. On May 22nd there will be a duel in Dublin with Leverkusen, who won the ticket against AS Roma.

In Bergamo, Ademola Lookman (30th) gave the hosts the lead. Matteo Ruggeri (52nd) increased for the Italians, who had ensured that Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC were eliminated in the quarter-finals. El Bilal Toure (90+5) scored the final score.

Piraeus plays the final at their rivals at home

Olympiakos Piraeus is in the final of the Conference League. The Greeks won the first leg of the semi-final against Aston Villa 4-2 and won the second leg 2-0. The final on May 29th is in Athens at the stadium of city rivals AEK.

In their own Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, Ayoub El Kaabi gave Olympiakos the lead at the first good opportunity (10th minute) and added the second goal after 78 minutes. Aston Villa could hardly do anything with the large portion of the game in the encounter led by Bundesliga referee Felix Zwayer. Florence had already prevailed in the semi-finals on Wednesday thanks to a 3-2 and 1-1 win against FC Brugge.
