Find out everything you need to know about the 2021-22 RLCS – Winter Split Major


We are approaching the end of this Winter Split for the RLCS 2021-22 on Rocket League. This RLCS season which started with a Fall Split, is now in its Winter Split, and will conclude with a Spring Split in a few months. Each of these splits is made up of 3 regional events and then a global Major. The 3 regional events of the Winter Split have already passed, we therefore have the complete list of teams that will participate in this Winter Split Major.

The 2021-22 RLCS Winter Split Major will therefore take place in Los Angeles from March 23 to 27. and will pit the best teams from around the world on Rocket League, qualified thanks to the circuit points they obtained during the regional events of this Winter Split. This event will begin first by a group phase, where the 16 qualified teams will be separated into 4 pools of 4 teams. All matches will be played in BO5 and the winner of each pool will qualify for the Winners Bracket of the playoffsthe 2nd and 3rd will qualify for the Losers Bracket while the last will be eliminated.

As for the competition groups, they are already known. Within Group A, we will find DeToNator, FaZe Clan, Team Queso and Version 1. In Group B, it will be Endpoint CeX, FURIA Esports, The General NRG and Renegades who will face each other. Group C will consist of the Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports, Team BDS and Team Secret. Finally, we find in Group D Dignitas, Pioneers, Sandrock Gaming and Spacestation Gaming.

As for the playoffs of this Major, we therefore find a double elimination format for the winners of the group stage who, in the event of a defeat in the Winners Bracket, will have the opportunity to catch up in the Lower Bracket with the other qualified teams. Within the Upper Bracket, all matches will be played in B07 while in the Lower Bracket, rounds 1 and 2 will take place in BO5 and from the quarters, the BO7 arrive. Regarding the Grand Final, between the winners of the Upper and Lower Final, it will take place in B07 but will contain a Bracket Reset. The team coming from the Lower Bracket final will have to win 2 BO7 to win.

The 2021-22 RLCS – Winter Split Major will therefore take place from January 23 to 27 and will reserve us a magnificent competitionall the biggest names in the sport Rocket League being present to attempt to win the title of World Champion team as well as a share of the $300,000 prize money of the competition.
