No, women aren’t the only ones who fake an orgasm during sex! A study is interested in the percentage of men who pretend to take pleasure in bed, and especially in their profile.

Hims & Hers, an American telehealth company, recently conducted a study on the different myths around sex life. To get the answers to the questions many people have, the experts spoke to 3,688 participants of British descent. The opportunity for the latter to confide in their way of apprehending sexual intercourse, their received ideas, their doubts, but also their fantasies.
Among the topics discussed, the frequency of intimate moments, but also their quality. According to the results obtained, 81% of the British think in particular that the others make love at least once (or more) per week, whereas this concerns only 45% of those questioned. At the question : “Would you like to improve your sexual relations?”, 74% answered in the negative. On the contrary, they are 67% want to experiment with new practicesas “voyeurism, cuddling with food or even polyamory, solo”.

Hims & Hers also returns in its investigation to one of the biggest misconceptions regarding our intimate relationships. The collective imagination wants that men have, with almost every intercourse, an orgasm, while women would have the habit of simulating (an observation that would not be very glorious). So, myth or reality? We have finally the answer!

The men who fake the most in bed are not necessarily the ones you think

Every sexual encounter is different. However, it is common that men and women go through the same problems. Contrary to popular belief, men sometimes struggle, like the fairer sex, to reach orgasm. They may even be more numerous than you think: 31% of respondents admit to faking orgasms from time to timewhile 26% say they have never managed to achieve it with penetrative sex. Generation Y would be the most adept at simulation, since 41% of men surveyed admit to sometimes feigning a moment of pleasure. And to contradict the received idea according to which our male partners climb to seventh heaven every time, 8% of male participants say they have never had an orgasm in their life.
