The social network, Tiktok, is full of solutions of all kinds to deal with this problem that affects many women: lack of volume. This time, it’s a hairdresser who reveals his tip for giving volume to hair while remaining trendy. Who doesn’t dream of a blow-dry like Gabrielle Solis (aka Eva Longoria) in Desperate Housewives !
How to work with fine hair to give it volume?
In the morning it’s always the same hassle, no matter how much time you spend doing your hair, the result is not always what you hoped for. Particularly for those opting for blow-drying or waves, the same question persists: will my volume last all day?
To add volume to our hair, many of us focus on the upper part of the head. According to hairstylist Tom Smith, this would be a big mistake. In a video posted on his Tiktok, which has no less than 84,000 followers, the latter explains that working on the hair at the roots does not guarantee a young and fresh hairstyle. According to him, it is better to create volume at the back of the head. You can therefore separate your mane in two, then attach the upper section using an elastic band. This will make it easier to work on the lower part and add maximum volume when styling. This method is ideal for fine hair, it allows you to obtain a glamorous and elegant hairstyle without it looking outdated.
In a second part of the video, the hairdresser takes stock of the lines in the hair: “the middle part is a good solution for a casual style, a slightly off-center part is a very good way to look a little cooler” he explains. Be careful, however, not to accentuate the flat effect of the skull if you opt for the first option.
