Children are not allowed to build sandcastles on these beaches
Building sandcastles is one of the favorite things to do on beach vacations, especially for families with children. In the northern Italian city of Eraclea near Venice, however, this is forbidden, as is digging holes or playing with balls.
The reason: emergency services could possibly stumble in action. Anyone who breaks the rule must expect fines of between 250 and 1000 euros.
You can’t kiss in the car everywhere
In Eboli, in the Italian province of Salerno, kissing in cars is illegal and can result in a fine of up to €500. This rule was introduced due to security issues.
Speaking of cars, hanging your arm out of your car window while driving is illegal across the country and can result in fines of over 150 euros.
In Rimini and Rome you are not always allowed to eat on the street
