Finistère: disguised as a rabbit, he does the unthinkable and ends up in court in his grotesque costume

After a drunken evening, a man in a rabbit costume violently attacked the police after being arrested at the exit of a bar in the town of Lannion. Placed in police custody and then brought to justice the next day, his attire did not go unnoticed by the public prosecutor…

If ridicule does not kill, it can sometimes make situations very grotesque. This Sunday, March 12, a man was arrested at the exit of a bar located in the city center of Lannion, around 8 p.m. after wanting to come to blows with the owner of the establishment, who allegedly refused to serve him a last drink, judging his state of drunkenness far too advanced. Not knowing what to do to calm him down, the bar owner was forced to call the police.

But the police were also confronted with violence from this individual, who did not hesitate to physically attack the police. Insults, death threats and kicks, the police struggled to control him, one of them even received an ITT (temporary interruption of work) for five days. Finally put in a state of harm, the man, who was wearing a rabbit costume at the time of the events, was immediately placed in police custody, according to information from our colleagues from Ouest France.

A man dressed as a rabbit violently attacked several police officers

It is in this ridiculous get-up that the man was brought before the courthouse de Saint-Brieuc the next morning, after spending the night at the police station. While the lawyer for the violent man had plans for his client to plead guilty so that he only receives twelve months in prison, the judge decided to increase the sanction, considering that the acts of voluntary violence and rebellion for which they were prosecuted needed to be “discussed in court”. He therefore summoned them on May 12 to the Guingamp Criminal Court to answer for their actions. An evening that could definitely end very badly.
