After Fiona Erdmann had to go to the emergency room with her daughter a few weeks ago, the little girl was diagnosed with a hernia. The model had hoped the fracture would heal on its own. But now it’s clear: Neyla has to have an operation.

At the beginning of July, Fiona Erdmann, 33, reported worrying news to her fans: her partner Moe discovered when changing daughter Neyla that the little one’s groin was “completely swollen”. Fiona then rushed to the emergency room with her daughter. Just like son Leo, 2, it turned out that Neyla suffered a hernia. Now the two-month-old baby has to be operated on.

Fiona Erdmann is worried about Baby Neyla

After the treating doctor in the emergency room referred Fiona to a surgeon with baby Neyla, the surgeon was asked to check whether the child needed surgery or whether the fracture could heal on its own. “I really hope that this will take care of itself and that we don’t have to go through this,” wrote the 33-year-old on her Instagram story. Unfortunately, this wish does not come true, as the former GNTM participant now reveals to “Promiflash”.

An operation is necessary and will be carried out in the coming days. It is a routine procedure, but because of the general anesthesia, Mama Fiona is still worried about her little one. “Then she gets an anesthetic and will probably be pushed away from me and I have to let go of my child and put it in someone else’s hands. When I think about it now, I get really queasy,” she says. And further: “I tried to delay it as much as possible, but the doctors also say that it can also be dangerous. With Neyla, it is now the case that her ovary always slips into the groin and, in the worst case, can it’s just possible that it gets twisted.”
