With a post on Instagram, Fiona Erdmann wants to show that it is quite normal to weigh a little more after giving birth.

In summer 2020, Fiona Erdmann (32, "Anna and Love") became a mother for the first time. After the birth of little Leo Luan, the former "Germany's next top model" candidate still has about 30 kilos more on it than when she was at GNTM. But that's not a problem for them at all. On the contrary, the 32-year-old wants to show that this is completely normal after giving birth.

"An enormous pressure"

Erdmann wrote on Instagram that the hype about her weight gain had been "pretty big" in the past few days. But that doesn't bother her at all, she even thinks it's "rather good". Because maybe "some women will become aware of this and notice that it is normal to weigh a little more after a pregnancy". During the GNTM era, she weighed around 52 kilograms; today it is around 80 kilograms. At that time she was simply built differently – and she had not yet given birth to a child. Erdmann tries "to make it clear over and over again that this is currently absolutely fine with me. Precisely because there is such enormous pressure on our society and especially on mums."

You often hear sentences like: "What? You weigh 80kg, it doesn't look like that!" Everything is just a matter of perspective, as she explains. "Both mentally and physically." In the picture she published for this, she said she was "really really really good". Of course, it is also a recording on which she is well taken. Basically "not all bodies in pictures that you see on Instagram (…) are as perfect as they seem".
