Fire Emblem Engage: A long gameplay video to present the Emblem system

Given that Fire Emblem Engage comes out in a little less than two months (yes, already), it was time for nintendo and Intelligent Systems speeds up communication around the game. We were recently able to discover more about the plot of this new opus with the help of a long trailer, which was however devoid of any gameplay. We catch up today with a 5-minute video, focused exclusively on the battles and especially on the Emblems system.

Fire Emblem Engage hands you the ring

Although this video is only available in Japanese, it is easy to understand what is presented to us here if you have already played a Fire Emblem At least once in his life.

The particularity of this episode is to make us invoke on the battlefield heroes from the past, or rather from old opuses of the series. Marth, Celica, Corrin, and even the recent Byleththe protagonists (or at least the popular characters) can appear alongside our units using rings.

By equipping one of these rings to a unit, he will therefore be able to call on one of these characters, who will act as a support unit. He will thus boost the characteristics of our warriors, until he can merge with them.. By doing this, he will grant unique abilities to our fighters, allowing them to move further or fight with the legendary weapons of these heroes.

Fire Emblem Engage will be released on January 20, 2023 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
