A fire broke out in the industrial area of Rotkreuz on Friday evening.
Heavy smoke and a strong stench developed.
The authorities called on the population to close doors and windows and turn off ventilation.
Around midnight, the authorities gave the all-clear. The fire was extinguished.
Traffic at the fire site was severely disrupted, according to the alert organization Alertswiss. People were advised to stay away from the area and avoid it. Neighbors should also be alerted.
