The black series continues for managers of retirement homes. After Orpea, targeted by Victor Castanet’s investigative book, Les Fossoyeurs, released in January, it’s Korian’s turn to be caught in the turmoil. Thirty complaints against nursing homes managed by the private group, in particular for manslaughter and endangering the lives of others, were filed by several families before a dozen prosecutors, according to an article published on June 8 in The Parisian.

The number 1 retirement home was quick to react. In a brief press release, he replied that ” at no time Master Sarah Saldmann [l’avocate en charge du dossier] has made contact with Korian France to formalize the complaints of its customers and thus assert their interests. If this were the case, Korian will take note of it with the greatest attention. As things stand, Korian is completely unaware of the content of these complaints and therefore cannot comment. “All Situations” serious ” are ” processed and systematically reported to the authorities adds the group, which has set up a service dedicated to relations with families.

On the stock market, the title (still) shows the blow, dropping 4.5%, to 17.88 euros, in last position of the SRD. Since the beginning of the year, the action has lost 36%, much less than Orpea, whose capitalization has melted by 70%.
