Within the pretty Marvel catalog of films to come, Deadpool 3 will certainly rise to the top of the most anticipated podium. And it’s not this new image that will fix things.
If Marvel Studios had some difficulties with these last projects to convince the crowds, in particular with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania or his series she hulkthe company that belongs to Disney intends to catch up and send heavy with Deadpool 3. Indeed, after two excellent episodes and the gab of actor Ryan Reynolds, the feature film could well reverse the trend. In particular also thanks to the presence of a certain Hugh Jackman to embody the very charismatic Wolverine (or vice versa).
Wolverine finally shows up in Deadpool 3
During the announcement of the presence and the return of Wolverine who is embodied by Hugh Jackman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the questions were many. How and in what form? Well if the first question is still pending, we can finally have the beginning of an answer for the second. We can actually discover a new snapshot of the filming of the feature film where we can see the two superheroes in their respective costumes. In this one Logan wears the famous yellow and blue costume that seems to be in Deadpool 3 a mix between the Classic Yellow 2 of 1992 and the Blue and Gold of 1991. Either a suit that uses the same belt, the same blue yoke on the body but with the arms covered. These two versions are in fact very close to the original costume of 1975: the Classic Yellow.
Wolverine, a very popular character in the cinema
Hugh Jackman has portrayed the role of Wolverine in the franchise films X-Men for almost 17 years, from 2000 to 2017. His first film as Wolverine was X-Men released in 2000 and its last of course Logan in 2017. Fittingly, Jackman’s portrayal as Wolverine has become iconic, and he’s widely considered the epitome of the character. His imposing physique, charisma and performance made him the perfect embodiment of the mutant.
Going much further than a simple interpreter of superheroes, the actor has also become a symbol in the world of fitness and even today many bodybuilding programs try to reproduce identically the one that was followed by the actor. Especially in the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past where the actor’s body is considered to be at the height of its “power”. Jackman himself had spoken of the physical pain he had endured to fit the role. We do not know if this will still be the case in Deadpool 3 which is for the record scheduled for May 3, 2024.
