This Monday, March 4, Kate Middleton was seen for the first time since her abdominal surgery. It had been six weeks since the Princess of Wales was last seen.
Last January, we learned that Kate Middleton had undergone abdominal surgery. News that no one expected and which generated a lot of concern. Indeed, the Palace did not reveal why the Princess of Wales was undergoing this operation. “The operation was successful and she is expected to remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her convalescence”, declared the Palace last January.
A long convalescence which did not bode well. Furthermore, it was specified that Kate Middleton would not be able to return to her duties before Easter. According to experts, this long convalescence is therefore synonymous with a more serious illness. “You can ask any surgeon. If it’s not cancerous, if it’s not the gallbladder, there are no 15 days of hospitalization and two months of convalescence. It seems excessive”, had notably explained Stéphane Bern.

Kate Middleton returns to Windsor after her operation
Then, on January 29, Kesington Palace announced that Kate Middleton had finally been released from the hospital, after 13 days of hospitalization. “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery following her operation. She is well on the road to recovery”, indicated the Palace in a press release. Before adding: “The Prince and Princess would like to warmly thank the entire team at the London Clinic, in particular the dedicated nursing staff, for the care provided.”
But since her return to Windsor, no official outing for Kate Middleton. However, the princess made a trip for the February holidays. Indeed, Kate Midlleton went to Anmer Hall, with her husband Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. A stay considered beneficial by many royalty experts. “I think it’s very encouraging. Kate is well enough to make the trip to Sandringham. It shows that she is slowly recovering,” said Jennie Bond, former royal correspondent for the BBC near OK! Magazine.
