Fish, boats, waves, beach… here is the winning photo of the competition on the theme of the sea

Here is the big winner of the Frandroid photo competition on the theme of the sea.

After the photo competition on the theme of black and white won by Élodie’s photo of black and white zebras, it is now time to choose the winner of the edition on the theme of the sea.

Summer is coming to an end and if you’ve been lucky enough to take a vacation to the coast, this was your chance to shine. Around twenty of you participated and, among the photos received, we selected four finalists: Yohan, Guilhem, Pierre-Alexandre and Jules.

In order, it is Yohan’s photo, taken in Croatia, which rises to the top of the ranking. Bravo to him. Here is what he said about his photo, visible above:

Long exposure that I took in Split (Croatia). The view overlooks the Adriatic Sea and the city, you can feel the calm of the end of the day. Photo taken with my Nikon D3100 on a tripod, exposure time 25 s.

Behind, we find in order the photos of Pierre-Alexandre, Guilhem and Jules. Congratulations to them too, and see you tomorrow for the theme of the next edition of the Frandroid photo competition.

Pierre-Alexandre Photo: Saint-Malo

This is a photo taken in Saint-Malo. I was walking around the town of Alet visiting the remains of memorial 39-45, when I heard people around me talking and laughing! They were laughing, because they found it amusing to see all the birds behind this fishing boat returning to port! I had my camera, a Canon R6. The photo shows the lighthouse of the 520 m pier which protects the port of Saint-Malo, with the birds behind the fishing boat returning to port, waiting for their feast!

Guilhem Photo: Kyrgyzstan

This photo was taken in Kyrgyzstan on the edge of the immense Yssyk Kul lake which, with its almost 200 km long by 60 km wide, is a real inland sea, especially since the water is salty. The most remarkable thing is that although the lake is located at an altitude of almost 2,000 m, you can see, on the other side, the mountains which rise between 5,000 m and 7,500 m above sea level. A true continental climate, the heat in summer is very high and is close to 42°C in the capital Bishkek. Escaping to the lakeside allows you to enjoy milder temperatures and, above all, to swim and have fun in this real inland sea.
