With the Ocean electric SUV, the US company Fisker is introducing a new Tesla competitor in Europe. The car should score with the greatest range, all-wheel drive and three driving modes.

The US vehicle manufacturer Fisker presented a new electric SUV for the European market at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The car should score with a long range, all-wheel drive, new safety features and three driving modes.
As Fisker reports in a press release, the Ocean Sport offers a range of 440 kilometers, while the Ocean Extreme can travel 630 kilometers on a single charge. The latter should also offer a dual motor all-wheel drive, three driving modes and many safety functions.
With the “California Mode” all eight windows of the car are opened. This should give you a “convertible feeling” while driving. Fisker also installs solar cells in the roof so that the vehicle can be charged while driving.
The 17.1-inch display built into the font can be rotated and used in portrait and landscape format. You can also use the Ocean as a battery for your house in the event of a power failure.
smart traction
The Fisker Ocean offers the “Smart Traction” function to keep full control in curves and in poor road conditions. The car distributes the correct torque to the appropriate wheels.
With “Park My Car”, the vehicle measures the parking space with ultrasonic sensors and surround cameras and then parks itself. You can use the app on your phone to search for the car, monitor it and control the temperature. The smartphone is also the car key.
360 degree sound
With “HyperSound” you can enjoy your favorite music over 16 loudspeakers with a total of 500 watts. A subwoofer with 20.5 watts is also installed.
The company is currently building a Brand Experience Center in Munich. You can already pre-order the SUV, production will start in November 2022. The base price is 41,560 euros.
