Fitbit announced the launch of a new product on September 28. Everything suggests that it will be the Fitbit Charge 6.
It is not because Fitbit is now a subsidiary of Google that the brand specializing in connected health intends to stop launching new products in its name. After the Sense 2 and Versa 4 watches last year, the manufacturer is preparing to launch a new connected bracelet next week.
On TwitterFitbit has published a short video in which we can see that the brand will launch a new product on September 28.
Above all, we can see, on the model’s wrist, a rather large connected bracelet, which suggests that the device launched next week will be a new Fitbit Charge 6. As a reminder, the Fitbit Charge are Fitbit’s high-end bracelets, positioned above the Fitbit Luxe and Fitbit Inspire. The latest model, the Fitbit Charge 5, was released in 2021 and offered many features such as an electrocardiogram and GPS tracking, two functions that are almost only found on real, much larger connected watches.
A Fitbit Charge 6 which is becoming more and more talked about
The announcement of a launch date by Fitbit thus confirms certain rumors from recent weeks. At the end of August, a certification with the FCC already indicated that Fitbit was working on a new connected bracelet. Last week, this is the site 9to5Google which added its stone to the building by revealing that the bracelet in question would indeed be the Fitbit Charge 6. According to the specialized site, the next bracelet would take the format of the Fitbit Charge 5, but with an additional physical button on the left side in place of the touch surface. Above all, the bracelet should benefit from several Google applications such as YouTube Music or Google Maps.
Furthermore, as if to prepare for the arrival of its new bracelet – and incidentally the Google Pixel Watch 2 – Fitbit has fundamentally changed the interface of its smartphone application in recent days.
