The friendly Plateau mediation team (an exhibition hall of the Ile-de-France regional contemporary art fund) welcomes children on Saturday afternoon at 2.30 p.m. for a visit-workshop for 6-12 year olds. years. On the program for the next few days: “Cache-cache” on February 25, a workshop that combines painting and photography to invent “mille-feuille works of art”; “Invisible Worlds” on March 4, to create his own burlesque film; “Au fil des rêves” on March 11, an invitation to give shape to your dreams using video, ceramics and drawing.

During the two hours of the workshop, parents have time to visit the exhibition (free) and take a walk in the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, just next door.

In the center of Paris, the Museum of Decorative Arts offers children from 4 years old a wide range of activities to do with the family or without the parents, on Wednesdays or during school holidays. Lasting two hours, the workshops begin with a tour of the museum designed to foster inspiration, before a personal application.

The children are divided by age group (4-6 years, 7-10 years, 11-14 years). Creation of a fantastic bestiary inspired by the collections of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, manufacture of small flashy furniture with geometric shapes in the fashion of the 1980s, portrait-painting, crowns, coats of arms, decoration of a plate with a dragon medieval or in the manner of Chinese porcelain: the imagination will know no borders.
