The Chinese company MaxSun somehow breaks a record for what remains a “simple” Graphic card.
With each new generation of GPUs, graphics cards tend to get bigger. There have of course been exceptions, but overall the cooling systems have taken on a nice boost.
Five fans or nothing
However, the Chinese company MaxSun has just presented a card that seems to be one of a kind: a model with five fans, which is moreover installed automatically without it being possible to remove some of them.
Indeed, GALAX has already presented a graphics card on which it is possible to add a fan to the backplate. Still, said fan is optional and, above all, it only makes a total of five “turbines” to calm the heat of the GPU.
The MGG card (for MeGa Gamer) is therefore a unique model first designed around the three classic fans for a high-end card: models that seem to have to be 92 millimeters in diameter arranged above the heatsink.
Factory Overclock
We must believe that it was not enough in the eyes of MaxSun who therefore opted for the placement of two other fans that are much less easily spotted in the photos published by Videocardz.
Our colleagues explain that these fans are placed at the level ” ARGB broadband “. In addition, it is specified that said strip acts as a screen ” Matrix LEDs “. The fact is that in total, the MaxSun card therefore integrates a trifle of five fans.
The most surprising thing is that according to the reference displayed by MaxSun – RTX 4070 Ti MGG OC – it is a “simple” GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. Even if MaxSun evokes factory overclocking, the TDP would only be 285 Watts and we are therefore still quite far from the very high end.
Without knowing their exact dimensions, these fans also seem to have to be small: nothing like generating additional noise pollution. That’s a bad idea!
